On April 10th, 2012, the Radville 4-H Field Crops Club went to Regina to tour Bayer Crop Sciences, Degelman Industries and stop at Laser Quest.
While we were at Bayer they showed us how they put chemical in the bottles and totes, how they wrap jugs with labels and toured us through the chemical plant. Mandy Rowland, our Bayer rep, helped with the tour and presented a goodie bag and caps to us after the tour.
We then went to Degelman Industries. We toured the manufacturing facility. They showed us the machines they use to build everything and the paint booths where everything gets painted. When we were touring they were building land rollers, heavy harrows and the ever popular dozer blades. Laird McLeod, our Degelman rep, helped with the tour and gave us gift bags and drinks when we were finished.
Our last stop was Laser Quest to play a couple games. We all had a great time! We finished off the day with pizza for supper and a meeting at Laser Quest.
On behalf of the Radville 4-H Field Crops Club I would like to express out appreciation to Mandy Rowland and everyone at Bayer Crop Sciences, Laird McLeod and everyone at Degelman Industries and everyone at Laser Quest for the informative fun filled day, we learnt a lot and had fun!!
