Radville -
The RDHCF Lottery draw was made Saturday afternoon, October 24th at the RRHS. The draw was to be made at the fundraising dinner and auction that evening but due to the many cases of flu the event had to be postponed but in accordance with the lottery license the draw still had to go on.
Approximately 30 people gathered in the foyer of the school to watch the drawings. Anna and Bill Laidlaw, attorney and lawyer, had arrived earlier that day and, with the members of the RDHCF, ensured all the tickets sold and unsold were accounted for. The 2,135 sold tickets were put into a huge plastic tub and Anna Bogar-Laidlaw made the drawings.
