Madigan's celebrate 100 years

Ceylon, SK - On August 2nd, descendants of Thomas and Margaret (Bolen) Madigan gathered at the Ceylon Regional Park to celebrate 100 years of farming.
Thomas and Margaret came from Kinilworth, ON to homestead in the Ceylon area in 1908. The original homestead is located two and a half miles south of Ceylon - SW1/4 35-5-20. They had seven children: Caroll, Austin, Ambrose, Michael, Helen, Francis and Margaret.
The afternoon was spent visiting, swimming, playing ball and barbecuing. The 100th Anniversary cake was cut by Francis Madigan, the only surviving child of Thomas and Margaret.
Family members from Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, Frontier, Moose Jaw, Regina, Weyburn, Radville, Minton, Pangman and Ceylon enjoyed the day.
