Bengough - Angela and Reed Houle of Calgary were very pleased to receive a donation to assist them with the treatments for their son Eoin. Soon after his birth Eoin was diagnosed with cancer but while undergoing treatments, he suffered debilitating strokes leaving him partially blind and paralyzed. Angela, a former resident of Bengough, is the daughter of Bonnie and Alan Weibe.
When the Bengough Elks' heard of their misfortune, application was made to their national charity, The Elks and Royal Purple Fund for Children, for assistance. A cheque for $3,000 was delivered to the family this Fall. The community of Bengough also offered financial help to the family.
Eoin has been in hospital since April undergoing treatments and while there has been some progress, he currently has had a relapse of his cancer. The entire community continues to pray for his full recovery.
