Libby’s grocery store celebrated its third anniversary in its present location every day starting on Monday, April 30th until closing time Saturday, May 5, 2012. On Monday afternoon, April 30th, customers were treated to coffee and fresh doughnuts; on Wednesday, May 2nd a ‘toonie’ lunch was held with the proceeds of $282.00 going towards the new boiler at the Ogema Regional Park complex and on Friday afternoon, May 4th, between the hours of two and five, one could taste a variety of new drinks and enjoy a friendly chat with the proprietors, Bev and Ken Klemenz.
Daily door prizes were drawn: winners were Monday – Amanda Powers won perfume; Tuesday – Dianne Cleverly won a fruit basket; Wednesday – Mary Hovanes won a flower arrangement; Thursday – Sylvia Fitzgerald won perfume; Friday – Tiffany Brandt won a wine basket and on Saturday, Tracy Eden won a meat and cheese basket.
