Weyburn Eagles Off to Provincials

On Monday November 2, 2009 the Weyburn Eagles won its fourth consecutive RIFL (Regina Intercollegiate Football League) 3A title by defeating The O'Neill Titans 18 - 14.

For any of the fans at Mosaic Stadium it was a nail biter! The Eagles pulled off a win in the last minute and 30 seconds!

The Eagles have an undefeated season and on Saturday, November 7th the they secured a spot in the provincials by pulling off a win against the Moose Jaw Peacocks in overtime. The final score was 14 - 7. I don't think there was a fan left with a voice after this game!

The Weyburn Eagles will now play the Marion Graham Falcons on Saturday, November 14th at 1:00 p.m. at the Gordie Howe Bowl in Saskatoon for the provincial 3A title.
