Radville, SK - The 4th Annual Dick Schmidt Memorial Youth Golf Tournament and Clinic was held on Sunday, August 24th at the Robertdale Golf Course and Country Club. The day was hot and sunny, perfect for golf. Sixteen kids, aged 6 - 16 participated. The event started off with golf instruction from Travis Schmidt from Watrous in the morning. A barbecue lunch was served, and the tournament took place in the afternoon. Everyone played nine holes, and the top two teams needed a chip off because of a tie. First place went to Evan Overbye and Jordan Hillrud, second place - Ethan Robson, Jacob Wiebe and Rhylan Tremblay. Several contests were held throughout the days with the winners as follows: Chipping Contest - Rhylan Tremblay (ages 6-10), Abel Fradette (ages 11-16); Longest Drive - Megan Schmidt (ages 6-10), Evan Overbye (ages 11-16): Longest Putt - Megan Schmidt (ages 6-10), Ethan Robson (ages 11-16); Closest to the pin - Jacob Wiebe (ages 6-10), Jordan Hillrud (ages 11-16); Secret Hole - Josh Wiebe, Darcy DeRoose.
