Bengough Girls Win Female Hockey

Bengough -

Chantal Kesslering, Twylla Tendler, Taylor Rood, Alisa Kesslering, and Nicole Kesslering, all from Bengough, played on the Assiniboia Female Hockey Team.
The participated in the Southwest Hockey league against teams from Glentworth, Gull Lake, Swift Current, Elrose, and Kindersley. This league combined midget and bantam players with both midget and bantam trophies available.
Assiniboia, Kindersley and Gull Lake played off for the Bantam Trophy. After winning the first round against Gull Lake, Assiniboia played Kindersley for the final series. Two games, total points were played with Assiniboia winning the bantam trophy.
This is the first league win by an Assiniboia female hockey team.
