Pangman Student breaks National Records

Grade 10 student, Brittinay Rowland has chosen a sport that might surprise some and she has excelled in it. The Pangman student is a Power Lifter.

During Easter break Rowland and her team mates competed in a national competition in Calgary. Brittinay broke three national records: Squat 275 lbs, bench press 115.5 lbs, and dead lift 313.5 lbs.

Rowland trains with Ryan Fowler at Gym Olympia in Weyburn. Team members Patricia Ashworth, Maikayla Lohse, Brandon and Heidi Russel and Ryan Fowler also competed.

Rowland has qualified for the “Worlds” competition being held in Poland in September of 2012. Congratulations Brittinay!
