Avonlea -
During the summer of 2009, the Avonlea Co-op held a photo contest where the search for a prize winning picture began.
The snap shot had to reflect the community of Avonlea and would be judged by Co-op members who voted for their favourite.
People's choice counted for 75% of the vote with the final decision made by the Avonlea Co-op Board of Directors.
Bill Nelson, of Avonlea, became the winner with his aerial shot of the town, which was taken during June of 2006. Pictured here, bigger than life, the 12' X 4' mural greets everyone that visits the new store.
