The Mixed Bowling League held their Annual Banquet and Awards Evening in the lower hall of the Ogema United Church with members of the Ogema United Sisters catering to the meal served to 29 bowlers and spouses. President Carol Peterson called the business part of the meeting to order and thanked the United Sisters for the delicious meal.

Margaret West won the door prize purchased by the Mixed Bowling club; a ticket on the Southern Prairie Rail Train, a value of $45.

Team prizes donated by SGI, Ogema Agencies and Redcoat Greenhouse and Garden were: Danette Jensen of the Lucianne McKague team; Jim West of the Jody Schmidt team; Tom Mead of the Gail Eden team and Muriel Lee of the Gloria Maki team.

Wayne Boehr, owner and proprietor, presented league winners, Gail Eden and her team of Kyron McKerricher, Syd and Linda Tondevold, Tom Mead and Marilyn Mead with trophies and a gift certificate towards next seasons bowling fees.

The ladies high average, 192, high single, 285 and the high triple 677 was won by Gail Eden. The men’s high average 168, high single 268 and high triple 638 was won by Kyron McKerricher.

The league roll-offs was won by the Jody Schmidt team: Jody and Ken Schmidt, Harry Hartley, Margaret West with spares Jean Porritt and Eleanor Murray.

The trophies for the league winners and the high lady and gent and the roll offs were provided by the mixed bowling league.

Election of officers for 2012 remained the same as 2011 with President – Carol Peterson; Secretary-treasurer – Lucianne McKague and Statistician - Gail Eden. This banquet and awards evening brought the 2011-12 bowling season to a close.
