Bengough School held their annual Sectionals Track Meet on June 15th. Many students competed and advanced to Districts on June 29th, in Moose Jaw

The following are Bengough’s results from the Sectional track Meet

Front Row (L to R): Jayde Harris (Midget Girls) First in 80 metre hurdles, 400 metre dash, high jump, second in long jump. Janaya Welburn (junior girls) First in Javelin, triple jump, second in 200-metre dash and long jump.

Middle Row (L to R): Amy Gillies (Midget girls) 4th in triple jump, 8th in long jump. Ivy Hoffart (midget girls) second in 100 metres, third in triple jump, 5th in 80 metre hurdles, 6th in long jump. Ashley Cleveland (bantam girls) first in long jump, second in 400 metres, 4th in 200 metres. Joely Welburn (bantam girls) first in 200 metre, (broke a record in this event), high jump and triple jump, second in 80 metre hurdles. Sarah Hoffart (midget girls) first in 200 metres, 5th in long jump.

Back Row ( L to R) : Leeza Currin (bantam girls ) second in 1500 metre, 8th in long jump. Erin Olarie (senior girls) first in discus, second in triple jump, third in long jump. Kenneth Kaufman (junior boys) first in javelin and shot put. Mikaela Peterson (senior girls) first in 100 metre and high jump. Second in long jump, third in triple jump.

Congratulations to all athletes for competing in District Track May 29th. Special congratulations to Janaya Welburn for winning the junior girls javelin at Districts. We wish her well as she competes in the track meet in Saskatoon on June 2nd. Congratulations to Joely Welburn for winning the bantam girls aggregate at Districts, Joely placed first in all her events. Joely is too young to compete in the provincial level.
