Cribbage players from Oxbow and Alameda Legion will compete at provincials

When people say something is “in the cards”, that means there is no doubt that it is going to happen.

Well, the expression proved true for several Oxbow and Alameda cribbage players competing in the Legion district tournament in Melville Feb. 11.

Advancing to provincial play in Yorkton in March are: Team of Four Closed Competition - Kelly Brock, J.R. Savage, Bill Ringguth and Roy Wardrope (substituting for Darrell Dunnigan); Open Singles Event - Lillian Kellen; Closed Doubles Event - Butch Richardson and Glenn Zimmerman; Closed Singles - Diane Millar (substituting for Doreen Bradridge), Open Singles - Stephen Krieger.

Winners of the closed events in Yorkton will continue to the Dominion competition which will be held in April in Innisfail, Alb.
